Matthew Henry Commentary App Reviews

Charles Spurgeon said everyone should read Matthew Henrys commentary at least once and I have to agree. Henrys commentary is usually one of my go tos for personal study and also sermon prep but to have it accessible on a mobile device just makes it all the more convenient. Not to mention its very easy to use. You can jump from one book to another one chapter to another or one verse to another immediately. It works just like the you version Bible app. I highly encourage anyone by this. One its much cheaper than a physical copy, two its just a great resource to have.

Thank you so much for putting this app on. MH is one of my most, if not all time favorite book! I had all the green books, then got the one HUGE book, with little bitty writing. Now I have this app too! I love it! So easy to look up stuff quick, plus u dont have to be online to use it! Big blessing!!! I can take it to the doctors office, or read while I wait!! Man… love it!!! To have the true unabridged volumes is a gift from heaven!!! LOVE IT!!! :)

This is my favorite Bible study aid. Matthew Henry is very direct and thorough. I always get something new when I use this tool. Just as a warning, the language of Henrys day could be difficult for some to understand.

This is my second review of this outstanding biblical reference. Again i believe this is an excellent companion and a must have when reading Gods Word, regardless if one is seminary trained or just a simple follower of Jesus Christ who is not seminary trained like myself. Please keep this product updated, one of my favorite apps! The only criticism I have (and not negative enough to warrant a 4 star vs. a 5 star rating at this time...) would be no "night time" reading mode. I prefer this mode when reading digital materials. It seems to be kinder on my eyes. Please consider this as part of your next update.

This commentary has expanded my understanding of scripture. The explanation of the original words, background, and additional scripture bring hard passages to life. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to go deeper in their knowledge.."search the scriptures". Very helpful.

I use this commentary with the help of other study aids to understand and meditate on Gods Word. It is one of the commentaries I use regularly as a more "seasoned" Christian who needs to grow and learn more and more. I highly recommend this commentary.

My "Go-To" commentary, pretty much all the time. MHC is biblically and doctrinally solid, and also very deep. Awesome app with SO much info.

This is an amazing app! For words that are really old school you can tap on it and get the definition! Also they made it easy to switch back and forth from scripture references in the reading. This is whats missing from other Bible apps! Love it!
